About Our Organization

The Linn Economic Development Group* (LEDG), is a 501(c)4 non-profit economic development organization. LEDG includes a 24-member board of directors who represent both public and private sectors throughout the region. Established with the mission of strengthening the local economy, LEDG has been instrumental in the creation of over 2000 direct jobs by over 60 new and existing Albany, Millersburg  and Linn County industrial companies.

Mission Statement

To foster a healthy and viable economy in the Albany, Millersburg and Linn County area.

Objectives 

  • to assist in the development, retention, and expansion of Linn County area businesses;

  • to improve the opportunity for business success;

  • to enhance the economic base by siting new targeted industries;

  • to support and assist in regional and state programs which will benefit the Mid Valley communities; and

  • to establish a viable partnership for managed economic growth.

 

History 

Incorporated in 1982 as a non-profit economic development organization, LEDG (AMEDC) has a 24 member board of directors who represent a diversified public/private sector from both communities. Established by the vision of community leaders interested in strengthening a stagnating economy, LEDG has been instrumental in the creation of thousands direct jobs, by dozens of new and existing Albany, Millersburg and Linn County industrial companies. John Pascone serves as president and continues to build and maintain the economy of our community.
