Mission Statement

To foster a healthy and viable economy in the Albany, Millersburg and Linn County area.

  • to assist in the development, retention, and expansion of Linn County area businesses;

  • to improve the opportunity for business success;

  • to enhance the economic base by siting new targeted industries;

  • to support and assist in regional and state programs which will benefit the Mid Valley communities; and

  • to establish a viable partnership for managed economic growth.

Incorporated in 1982 as a non-profit economic development organization, LEDG (AMEDC) has a 24 member board of directors who represent a diversified public/private sector from both communities. Established by the vision of community leaders interested in strengthening a stagnating economy, LEDG has been instrumental in the creation of thousands direct jobs, by dozens of new and existing Albany, Millersburg and Linn County industrial companies.
