Education Profile
Education plays a key role in defining the communities of Albany, Millersburg and Linn County.
Linn-Benton Community College is located in Albany. It works closely with local businesses to train and educate the workforce in a manner that makes school-to-work a smooth transition for both students and employers. Currently, LBCC has an enrollment of 19,484 students.
In addition, world-class scientific research programs can be found at Oregon State Univesity, approximately 13 miles from downtown Albany. OSU has an enrollment of 30,838 students.
The Greater Albany Public School District encompasses 21 elementary and secondary schools. Annual enrollment is just over 8,000. Thirteen private schools are available within our greater Linn County region.
